Why I Started Scooti Reviews

After 20 years in the world of fashion and hair—cutting, styling, steaming, selling and surviving retail one peak season at a time—I knew this: small business owners are absolute heroes.

They wear every hat, fix every problem, smile through every customer interaction and somehow still find time to care.

I’ve always loved the energy of retail. The buzz of a busy Saturday. The quiet thrill when a regular comes back. The pride in saying, “I built this.”

But I also saw something else:

Great service doesn’t always lead to great reviews.

Not because customers aren’t happy, but because they’re busy. Or they forget. Or they don’t know how.

And that’s where the idea for Scooti Reviews was born.

A way to make it ridiculously easy for customers to say, “That was amazing.”
No apps. No awkward asks. Just a tap. A moment. A smile.
And for the business? A 5-star review that lives online forever.

Scooti isn’t just a product, it’s my way of giving back to the people who serve, hustle and show up for their communities every day.

It’s also a bit of a family adventure. My teenage kids are learning the ropes—packing orders, giving (unsolicited) logo feedback and watching what it looks like to build something from scratch.

At the heart of it, I started Scooti because I believe every great experience deserves to be seen, shared and celebrated.

If I can help one business owner get noticed for the amazing work they do, then that’s a win in my books. And if I can help a thousand. Even better.
